Starting your day with a healthy meal just makes you feel better all day, doesn’t it? For a tropical morning treat packed with vitamins and flavor, try this Pineapple Mango Smoothie Bowl. It’s refreshing, filling and cool — the perfect summer meal!
How to Make a Pineapple Mango Smoothie Bowl
The pineapple and mango combination is one of my favorites for both smoothies and smoothie bowls. Need proof? Here are some of our favorite pineapple and mango smoothies:

Pineapple and mango offer lots of health benefits, including vitamins A (essential for immune system function), E and K.
Pineapple Mango Smoothie Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 (5.3 ounce) container vanilla Greek yogurt (or about 1/2 cup) frozen
- 1/2 cup milk – I use unsweetened almond or coconut milk, but dairy or soy is fine, too.
Toppings:
- Fresh mango pieces
- Kiwi Slices
- Cherries, halved
- Coconut flakes
- Chia Seeds
Directions for a Mango Pineapple Smoothie Bowl:
- Combine all ingredients in a large blender or food processor.
- Blend/process until smooth.
- Pour into bowl, and top with toppings.
- Serve cold, immediately.
To make the smoothie bowl thick, more like soft serve ice cream consistency and easier to eat with a spoon, be sure to freeze the yogurt as well. Protein powders can also thicken a smoothie bowl, but be mindful of the calories if you’re watching those.
More toppings for your smoothie bowl include almonds, pecans, dried fruit, or other fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or pineapple.
If you don’t have chia seeds on hand for this version of the smoothie bowl, add some nuts instead. The point of the chia seeds is to add some healthy fats, so you can accomplish this with almonds or another nut of your preference.
Makes 1 large smoothie bowl, or 2 small.

Smoothie Ingredients
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1 5.3 ounce container vanilla Greek yogurt (frozen)
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy, almond, coconut or soy)
Toppings
- fresh mango pieces
- kiwi slices
- cherries (halved)
- coconut flakes
- chia seeds
